Direct flights to New Orleans will begin on April 14, while flights directly to Richmond, Virginia and Memphis Tennessee will be offered on April 15.

All My Sons Moving & Storage of Jacksonville has learned that analysts at Allegiant Travel Company have been studying travel patterns of those flying out of Jacksonville International Airport and have determined that residents would benefit from these direct flights being added to the airport’s schedule.

“We had demand for those flights to New Orleans, Memphis and Richmond and we took the opportunity to fill that demand. With the economic climate as good as it is, we decided to launch them starting in spring,” said public relations specialist for Allegiant Travel Company, Stephanie Pilecki.

The Omnibus Appropriations bill for the 2016 fiscal year is set to be voted on this month and includes three military construction projects for Jacksonville bases.

As far as local Jacksonville moving companies have learned from Congressman Ander Crenshaw of the House of Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, the proposed fiscal bill will help support the military projects for Littoral Combat Ships. If it is passed, the projects will receive $16.1 million for the construction of support facilities.

Leader of the LCS Squadron at Mayport Naval Station, Captain Paul Young, says the construction is expected to begin early in 2016 and be completed a little over a year later. However, Mayport Naval Station is not the only Jacksonville military base that is said to receive additional funding for the 2016 fiscal year.

The Omnibus Appropriations bill has also set aside $8.2 million to go to Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS JAX) for the construction of a facility to support the MQ-4 Triton unmanned aerial surveillance system.

Apparently, surveillance is a top priority for 2016, as the bill also set aside another $8.4 million for the Fleet Support Facility to install the Littoral Surveillance Radar System at their air station.

If you are moving to Jacksonville for military job opportunities or reassignment/relocation, All My Sons Moving & Storage can help make your move seamless. Now is the perfect time to move to Jacksonville to live at NAS JAX or Mayport, as the bases receive an increase of funds, an increase in equipment and air support, and more technologically advanced systems.

The year 2015 is coming to a close, and the primary talking point of Governor Rick Scott has been the Florida job numbers. Although the State of Florida has announced the addition of one million jobs since 2010, the Jacksonville area has seen 16,000 jobs created in just 2015 alone. The tremendous amount of job growth in Northeast Florida has made the state more appealing for people to move to. In fact, if you are moving for a job, then moving to Jacksonville and its surrounding areas could be a great decision.

Jacksonville movers have learned that according to a release from the Governor’s office and press, the state’s greatest success has been adding jobs in recession-proof sectors. Local Jacksonville moving companies have seen how much of an impact these recession-proof job sectors have had on the numbers of people moving into the state.

According to the release, the industries with the largest job gains in 2015 were, “education and health services with 5,000 new jobs; leisure and hospitality with 4,700 jobs; and trade, transportation, and utilities with 4,300 new jobs. In November, the Jacksonville MSA had 21,847 job openings and had 5,155 openings for high-wage, high-skill science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) jobs.”

If you are moving to Jacksonville, All My Sons wants your move to be the best decision you have ever made, so if you are moving to Jacksonville for work, but do not yet have a job, look into one of the aforementioned industries, as numbers are expected to continue to rise throughout 2016.

The third Saturday in November marks the annual game that everyone in northern Florida will be tuning into – the Gators vs. Seminoles game.

If you have recently relocated to Jacksonville, you may not know about the epic grudge match that takes place between the University of Florida Gators and the Florida State University Seminoles each year. November 28th will mark the 60th annual grudge match between the rival universities and will be the most epic tailgating, barbecuing, and football event in north Florida this holiday season.

The Jacksonville movers at All My Sons Moving & Storage urge new residents to catch a football party a new neighbors’ house, throw your own, or purchase tickets and tailgate to really get in on all of the action following Thanksgiving.

The Seminoles have won the last two meetings and four of five under coach Him Fisher, but the last time that both teams had been having such a great year as they have this season, the Gators took victory over the Seminoles, winning 37-20 in Tallahassee.

Gators coach Jim McElwain says that he keeps his team focused on being able to figure out what is going on and how to maneuver through everything that comes in their path.

“The art of winning is hard, guys,’’ he said after the game. “It is hard. I don’t care who you are. You understand how hard winning is and figuring out how to win. And that’s really what I like about our guys. There is never any panic. They play in the moment.”

The art of winning is not difficult for Jacksonville movers, as they have been moving families in and out of the area for over 25 years, perfecting moving with each maneuver that has been thrown their way as well. If you are moving to Jacksonville, this is one college football game that you will not want to miss, as the epic 60 year grudge match is the talk of the town every year.
