The year 2015 is coming to a close, and the primary talking point of Governor Rick Scott has been the Florida job numbers. Although the State of Florida has announced the addition of one million jobs since 2010, the Jacksonville area has seen 16,000 jobs created in just 2015 alone. The tremendous amount of job growth in Northeast Florida has made the state more appealing for people to move to. In fact, if you are moving for a job, then moving to Jacksonville and its surrounding areas could be a great decision.
Jacksonville movers have learned that according to a release from the Governor’s office and press, the state’s greatest success has been adding jobs in recession-proof sectors. Local Jacksonville moving companies have seen how much of an impact these recession-proof job sectors have had on the numbers of people moving into the state.
According to the release, the industries with the largest job gains in 2015 were, “education and health services with 5,000 new jobs; leisure and hospitality with 4,700 jobs; and trade, transportation, and utilities with 4,300 new jobs. In November, the Jacksonville MSA had 21,847 job openings and had 5,155 openings for high-wage, high-skill science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) jobs.”
If you are moving to Jacksonville, All My Sons wants your move to be the best decision you have ever made, so if you are moving to Jacksonville for work, but do not yet have a job, look into one of the aforementioned industries, as numbers are expected to continue to rise throughout 2016.
