November Events in Jacksonville

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and although you may already be busy getting your Thanksgiving dinner and decorating plans underway, there are still plenty of local weekend events that you and your family can attend in order to enjoy everything that the holiday season has to offer in Jacksonville.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Jacksonville has been moving families to and from the area for over 20 years, and our team aims to make moving as simple as possible, which means helping to make the transition into a new city easy as well. If you have recently moved to Jacksonville and are looking for some things to do with your family, here are some November events in Jacksonville to check out.

1. Cruising is for the Birds – Jacksonville’s local birding expert Joanne Powell and the North Carolina Coastal Federation will be hosting a birding cruise on November 15th on the White Oak River in Swansboro at 10 a.m. This event costs $20 for federation members and $25 for nonmembers. Register online at org/events.

2. Bowl for Others – On November 15th at 2 p.m., the Fallen Not Forgotten 9 Pin No Tap Bowling Tournament will be taking place at Mac Daddy’s in Cape Carteret. This event costs $25 per person and the proceeds go to benefit Fallen Not Forgotten.

3. National Novel Writing Month – November is National Novel Writing Month, so Jacksonville movers recommend that if you have a writer in the family, this may be a way for them to forget about the move to Jacksonville and spend time doing something they enjoy.

4. Catch a Game – If there is one thing that you should know before moving to Jacksonville, it is that the locals love the Jacksonville Jaguars – no matter how much they may lose. There are numerous football games that will be taking place throughout the month of November, so use one or two as a November event in Jacksonville that can get you close to your new neighbors by throwing a Jaguar football party.
